The “Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism in Eastern, Southern, Central Africa and Yemen” (AML-CFT ESCAY) regional project aims to curb the incidence of transnational organised crimes and terrorism in 33 African countries, and Yemen. The project will achieve this by improving national response capacities and inter regional cooperation in targeting Illicit Financial Flows generated by transnational organised crimes. Over the next two years, this action’s support will be offered through training, workshops, conferences and through limited tailor made activities designed to meet specific demands and needs of beneficiary countries.

Word from Project Team Leader

“The entire project team is particularly happy to welcome you to our institutional website to establish a link, and also, to allow us to enter into a relationship of perpetual and constructive exchange with you. The content of this site is inspired by the achievements of the previous one, of course, but it has also been improved, and “customized” to share with you the major arguments of our new platform, our vision, strategic axis, the main figures or the monitoring and evaluation indicators testifying to the solidity of our fundamental values and actions. Our site is, thanks to you, a platform for exchange, and a channel of communication and visibility, put out for the service of our partners: It is also a living library in which you can surf at your leisure and with curiosity.

The AMLCFT-ESCAY project has thus been able to confirm for 8 years now, its positioning as an effective and operational player in training in the fight against Illicit Financial Flows generated by international organized crime, and corruption which facilitates the spread of terrorism. This AML- CFT ESCAY is a new phase, the 3rd of our cycle, which is based on the imperative acquisition of know-how for national stakeholders in the fight against illicit financial flows; to acquire knowledge at the national level to interact with efficiency and experience at the regional and international level.
